The Call of the Warlords Beta Test is scheduled to begin in

Cybots
Cybots, the massively multiplayer game of Cybernetic Gladiators,
is currently being developed by Tasman Studios in Sydney.
Set in a future where combat is carried
out exclusively by Cybernetic Battle Droids (known as Cybots), players
assume the role of Cybot "Controller" managing all aspects
of their robotic battle droid squads. Using a set amount of starting
cybercash, Controllers purchase and then configure their bots using
five different chassis types and more than eighty different weapons,
power reactors, shield generators and support modules.
Dark
Age of Camelot
Dark Age of Camelot is headed to Development Beta 2, which
will be comprised of approximately 500 playtesters. The Beta is
scheduled for November 15, and signups will start being accepted
on Wednesday November 8.

IL-2
Sturmovike new!
Blue Byte is about to conduct an extensive online beta test
for the upcoming World War II flight-sim, IL-2 Sturmovik, starting
March 2, 2001. If you're a combat or flight-sim fan and you apply,
you stand a chance to both experience the game before its release
AND to have an influence on the way it plays when it releases to
the public in Q2 2001.

Lorgaine:
The Black Standard
Lorgaine: The Black Standard is the first ever online 3-D game
to be developed in Ireland. Kapooki Games has based this, their
first release, on the myths and legends of the Celts. Lorgaine focuses
on the epic struggle between warbands of the ancient races of the
Tuatha de Danann and the Fomor. This is the oldest recorded Euro/Asian
mythos of a titanic conflict between the forces of good and evil,
land and sea, light and darkness. Kapooki intends to constantly
release updates for Lorgaine, featuring new levels, artefacts, items,
and races.
The game objective, initially, is for the players to build and nurture
their warband's Fame. In addition there are race-specific objectives:
the Tuatha de Dannan are desperately defending their homeland in
the face of a relentless invasion; the Fomor are intent upon the
undisputed domination of Erin (ancient Ireland) and the enslavement
of its peoples.
